Good morning,
We have a wonderful July scheduled for you. One not-to-miss highlight is
zazen, talk and tea with Rev. Sevan Ross from the Chicago Zen Center on
July 17th at 6 PM. Sevan is sure to delight you with his down-to-earth
style. Sevan is trained in a tradition that uses koans and you would be
most welcome to ask him about this type of practice.
Please also note, that we will be closed for our 4th of July break, July
3-5th re-opening on Friday the 6th for morning zazen. .
On a personal note, I will be gone from the 17th of July to the 19th of
August as I take my long-promised trip to China. I'll be traveling with
Sangha member Mimi Jong (She speaks 6 dialects of Chinese!). If any of
you know of not-to-be-missed sights in China or people who would enjoy
putting us up for the night, please let me know ASAP.
If you need anything, Jisen is available. Residents John and Bryan will
also be around.
